Should I Replace or Reface My Kitchen Cabinets?

It can be a hard decision trying to choose between refacing or replacing your existing kitchen cabinets. You may first want to consider your budget. If you have a lower budget than refacing them may be the way to go. You can easily paint them in order to give them the look that you desire or they can have new laminate added to the fronts of your cabinets and your drawers for a stylish look. Changing your hardware can make a great change in the way that you kitchen cabinets look as well. Adding some updated and stylish knobs and pulls may be the easy solution you are looking for.

Perhaps you are wanting a total change in your kitchen and you'll be rearranging the way that your kitchen is set up. This will probably call for you to install new cabinets so that they fit into the space that you have planned and so that your kitchen functions the way that you need it to and you have all of the storage space that you want. New kitchen cabinets might also be necessary if the previous cabinets have been damaged in anyway or if they are just beyond their years.

Maybe the kitchen is just too dated to not change the kitchen cabinets and putting in new ones is the best solution. You'll find a large variety of kitchen cabinets that you can choose from that will provide the storage that you need plus some new features such as built-in Lazy Susan's or spinning shelves. You may even choose to install a pantry in your new kitchen that matches your choice of cabinets. For a super unique look, you can have your fridge door match the doors that you select for your cabinets.

Working within the budget that you have set up for yourself is important and it can determine whether you reface or replace.
